Arab Renaissance Day Great Arab Revolt Anniversary - 25 fils
The Great Arab Revolt (Al-Thawra Al-Arabiyya Al-Kubra / الثورة العربية الكبرى), also commemorated as The Arab Renaissance Day (ذكرى النهضة العربية), was officially proclaimed on June 10, 1916 (9 Sha'ban 1334 AH) by Sharif Hussein bin Ali, the Emir of Mecca and leader of the Hashemite dynasty. The uprising sought to liberate Arab lands from centuries of Ottoman imperial rule, establishing an independent, unified Arab state across the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula. The campaign played a foundational role in modern Middle Eastern history and led directly to the establishment of the modern Hashemite states, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
